The Suns’ first—and potentially last—full season with their “big three” of Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Bradley Beal officially ended on Sunday night, as they were swept by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
During the regular season, Phoenix defeated the Timberwolves by double-digits in each contest. Yet, none of this mattered come playoffs, as the Suns were outscored by an average margin of 15 points in Round 1 of the Western Conference playoffs.
Despite boasting three potential future Hall of Famers, the Suns finished sixth in the West and didn’t secure a single playoff win.
For some fans, the season could not come to an end quickly enough, and for others, the reality is just kicking in.
It was a season that began with boundless potential but concluded in profound disappointment.
Here is what Suns fans had to say after Phoenix’s Game 4 elimination loss in front of their home crowd:
1. That was a miserable year.
2. We have NO chance at trading Beal because no one is taking that contract, NO ONE!
3. Changes are coming.
